Broughton Trail Series
The Broughton trail series is a recent addition to our race portfolio. All set in the fantastic woodland surrounding Broughton, each stage has a distance ranging from 3 to 5 miles. There are 4 stages with 1 race every month starting in January and finishing in April. Each route will be marshalled or marked with confidence tape to make it easy for you to find your way around. All races will be chip timed so you will need to pre-register here, you can register for one race at a time or all at once. The fee is payable on the day.
Please note that all stages do not have allocated parking areas so please remember to car share and park safely to minimise congestion & parking issues.
Stage 1 – West Wood
This 4 mile loop starts at the entrance to the woods at the top of South View and heads around the picturesque West Wood of Broughton.

Stage 2
This starts at the side of the cemetery (hope that’s not an omen!) and heads through the field of the mini Brutaliser and into the far wood.

Stage 3
Starts on the public footpath at Clapp Gate and heads through a popular dog walking spot in the Rowland plantation. The trails here can be tight so overtaking may get tricky!

Stage 4
We’re back in the West wood for the final stage, you will inevitably hit some of the trails you did in the first stage but heading in a different direction should make them feel like new.
